Meritage Vertical
Always a sell-out, Valley Road Vineyard’s Meritage Wine Vertical takes wine lovers on a journey through the five Meritage vintages that are now in our Wine Library -- 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
CEO Stan Joynes will describe the inspiration for these five vintages of VRV's beloved Meritage wines. Sommelier Alyson Muff will delve into the history of Bordeaux blends, and guide you through an educational and entertaining tasting.
This is a rare opportunity to taste a number of VRV’s medal-winning Bordeaux blends, all of which will be pulled from the Library and be available to taste – as well as to purchase -- only during this special event:

Live Music by Tristan Adams
Tristan Adams is relatively new to the live music scene. Just three short years ago someone told him to go try an open mic and once he started the audience kept saying “one more!” A regular at the winery/bar scene in Fauquier County, and having played in Kauai, Cook Islands, Bali, the Gili Islands, Phi Phi Island, Spain, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico, Tristan has moved to Nelson County and is grateful to play at Basic Necessities on Sunday mornings and to get started with Valley Road. Expect to hear songs from all decades and most genres. He’s also willing to try any request on the spot, provided that he’s familiar with the song already!
